Third Exercise was an exploration with objects within my room, suprisingly there are a lot....a lot more than the average. All these objects fills up my table, cupboard, wardrobe, bookcase and even my bed. Using the stop motion technique, it brought live out of the objects and made them seem like they're alive, To achieve the flawless movement, I had to had my camera very still on a tripod, however when i'm editing, i realised that my camera moved a little inbetween shots when i pressed the camera trigger and also I made the object move a little bit too quick and rigid so the footage turned out to be a little be more stuttering and less smooth.
I've also learn to add in sound to make the footage seem more realistic. above is my attempt.
First Exercise, as I build my model and observe my house, I realised that my room are very different to the rest of the house....it's very...cluttery. My model look rather empty comparing to my room.
In order to achieve the view outside my room while wanting it to be realistic, I took photos of the view from my camera than editing it so it's like a panorama view. That way when I move the camera around, it would move with the camera view and turn out well.
Fourth Exercise, as I explore the idea of my last video, I wanted to use the objects as a mediator for my video.
Making the video was a new challenge, the model is so small so there isn't a lot of room for my hand to move around, also due to the orientation of my room and the shots, I couldn't take more than one wall at a time so there's restricted area where I could place my hand, keeping the camera steady is one of the biggest challenge. Shots that are too shaky aren't usable.
Height of the cemera were also important however sometimes I could fix it in editing process.
This video was able to achieve my message however there are rooms for improvement with editing to make that message even more clear. (Making the flashes shorter at the beginning and longer at the end to turn the dream/reality around)
