Experiencing the Home

'Home' is the place where one lives permanently. Home is where the place I have relationship with as a place to remember, memory and love.

Model Home

 

In the process of making model of my room is showed me a different aspect from what I normally see. After measurement and documenting and observation the space where I live, I have realized that I have built a relationship with the space and surrounding objects as a part of my comfort zone.

A cup of Tea

Making a cup of Tea project is explored me about the process of making a cup of tea. The collection of tea cup, tea pot,sugar jar and art of porcelain of my uncle's collection is showed me about the history of tea and art.

Experience and Time

 

 

I have chose this part of my room as I have spend most of my day on my working table.The moment I using my computer, I have been cut of from the moment in real world, so the space surround me is freezing and stop moving except the computer screen. This expressed me the experience of losing time.

Real and Unreal

 

 

I have decided to focus on my book cabinet as I have interested in books which represented of knowledge, experience and memory. Also the in the cabinet I have collected a lot of meaningful stuff, such as letter, picture and diary. The reason I burn the cabinet is I want to represent the surreal experience that cannot do it real life. The damage after burn is tell the story of the place has memory and was important with someone. The books represented as a place where you collected the memory and the fire is represent as time. People forget some memory even a good memory by time is change.

For each exercises I have learned to understand the design through living space which is home in different aspect. I have developed the skill in documenting, observation, communicating and technological skill. I have started journal by observation the space in my home especially my room where I spend most of my time here and where I feel most comfortable and have a lot of memory. I have explored around the home by using photo, sketch, description to express the experience and atmosphere of my home. Some projects have to use the camera video to record, editing video, put sound effect and background music to create the expression that I have with my home and what I have experience in generator.
